I got a call from Neil saying that he had the report from the MRI.  He said that the radiologist, Mehul, had detected a neoplasm at the outside end of my right clavicle.  It was reported as follows, in part: “The ovoid area measures 1.3 x 2.2 cm; etiology indeterminate. Bone neoplasm should be excluded.”  Of course there was no rotator cuff tear.  I told Neil I’d pick up the MRI report at my next visit on 3/2.  In the meantime, I spoke with a friend who recommend an orthopedist, Manny.  I called Manny and made an appointment for 3/5.
