I had my meeting with Warren and got the news that my M-spike had gone up again slightly to 0.6 from 0.5 last month. I told him of the Cure Panel discussion I had been on with James Berenson and that this approach made a lot of sense to me. Warren said that no decision regarding stem cell transplant had to be made right away, but that I should at least do the harvesting for future transplantation. He was also completely at ease with my planning to have an appointment with Berenson.

So, in the meantime, we agreed that I would start on Revlimid (lenalidomide) 15mg/day for 21 days then 7 days off with low dose dexamethasone. My capsules should arrive tomorrow. I am also supposed to take 81mg aspirin to protect against DVT (deep vein thrombosis) a known side effect of lenalidomide.

My peripheral neuropathy continues to improve – I’m down to about 25% of where I was at its peak about a month ago. The 25mg of nightly amitriptaline really seems to be doing the job. Hurray! Praise The Lord!

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for my healing.

Amen.
