Today is no therapy at all for the myeloma.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Kathleen and I went to our usual service at the Chapel of St. Andrew this morning. Being the first Sunday of the month, it was time for our regular healing service. After the service, I was also given healing prayer by Emily Nell, Faye, Lilian, Janet, George, and Kathleen. What a wonderful thing to do for for anyone! The thing that I’m wondering now is that perhaps I have had way too much fear about the prospect of a stem cell transplant. Perhaps I am supposed to undergo this for reasons that only can become clear after I have had the procedure. What’s the saying, “Let go and let God!”? Have I been too much of a rational scientist to just allow this to happen?
Kathleen and I also sponsored coffee hour at church with a piñata for the kids, virgin margaritas, guacamole, salsa, and taco chips.
It was Hirma & Berris’ 51st Wedding Anniversary, Congratulations! Hirma made a beautiful Jamaican wedding cake, delicious too!
On Wednesday, I have my annual physical with Leslie, the new PET/CT scan, and the bone marrow aspiration done by Warren. Samples from the aspiration will be used to check for any new chromosomal changes.
Time to recap some other things. My peripheral neuropathy has continued to be on the wane, now about 5% of the worst it was for me last fall. The only med I am still taking is the Elavil (amitriptaline) to help with the neuropathy. Finally, Kathleen continues to be my rock. I worry about her too. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, too.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for my healing.
